Darlinghurst's celebrated restaurant, The Clove, is a neighbourhood institution.
Atmospherically inhabiting a turn-of-the-century church, its arches and slanted
upstairs ceiling convey a spiritual ambience, the lighting capturing the essence of
gentle candlelight.
Today, The Clove, attracts swelling crowds of curry fans, many who are regulars
with an almost encyclopaedic knowledge of the menu. The Prawn Masala in a spicy
coconut sauce, the Mustard Fish with English mustard, the Saffron Fish Curry and
the Clove Mixed Seafood Galore are all great offerings at $20.90 each, while almost
all Beef and Lamb dishes are $15.90 each - fine post-gst prices indeed.

A deep pride resonates through every dish at The Clove, a love of humanity itself,
a showcasing of Indian culture offered up for universal enjoyment - these might
sound like bold aims, but they are filtered through the simplicity of the dining experience.
